Senior UX Designer
SumUp belongs to the most important german fintech companies and is the leading mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) company in Europe. They offer a unique device which, together with the smartphone, allows small merchants to accept card payments anywhere.
I joined SumUp in 2019 to improve the user experience of the existing global website and the new SumUp Business Guide.
My team and I focused on designing and improving existing components within the design system for the website as well as introducing new ones, giving the editors more freedom and power to create high converting websites. I was doing extensive research to improve the user experience especially in Germany and emerging markets like Brasil. Collaborating with Brand Design and international Designers remotely to find consumer-focused solutions, always keeping an eye at short and longterm business goals.
We were testing different solutions for SumUps P2P offering in Brazil called ZAP and optimizing the way prices were displayed throughout every available market to offer a consistent experience to every user worldwide. Besides research and design, I was also doing multiple A/B tests to analyze the performance of the newly developed components.
Lastly I was writing official documentations for the design library to share knowledge on how to use specific components in the best possible way on different devices and situations.
